I follow sharpening methods recommended by fine wood working and others which includes polishing the backside to a micro finish creating micro bevel on cutting surface. The process results in a very sharp blade. All in original box and wrapping including instructions.

See photos for details. I did sharpen the blade using a series of high quality Japanese stones: 1,0 6,000 and 10,000 grit followed by final honing with spider ultra fine ceramic stone. I purchased the plane several years ago - is new and unused.
