The Norris type adjuster mechanism combines feed and lateral adjustments, making blade setting accurate and easy. Further, since the blade is narrower, at wide, cuts are easier to push through. The front knob and rear handle are barbing. Smaller and lighter than a full size smoother, it is easier to maneuver and is less fatiguing to use for extended periods.

Like the full size versions, it is useful for final finishing of surfaces, end grain work and for shooting miters. For working difficult grain, optional 38 and 50 bevel blades, as well as a toothed a2 blade, are available. Made in canada.
Yielding an effective cutting angle of 37 to minimize fiber tearing, the included 25 bevel blade is 1/8 thick, lapped, and available in a2, o1 or pm v11 tool steel. The machined and surface ground ductile cast iron body has a 12 bed angle and a movable toe fully enclosed by the body casting. The locking front knob controls the toe to set the mouth opening, while an unobtrusive stop screw in the throat allows repeatable mouth setting and prevents contact between the blade and toe.
Sweet little plane it's 12 degree bed angle with the excellent pm v11 25 degree blade, properly sharpened and polished gives you a 37 degree low angle for end grain or straight grained wood with the ability to change blades to either a 38 or 50 degree bevel giving the option of a 50, or 62 angle for more difficult curly wood.
